How to hire and pay employees in China
Generally employees hired in the private sector are given fixed term contracts, which may be any length of time (with legal permissible probation period), but may only be renewed once. If there were to be a second renewal of the contract, the contract becomes an open-term, which may result difficult to terminate.Other contracts include part-time that can be used in limited circumstances.
Dispatch of staff may also be an option; in this case the employer pays an employment agency to dispatch one of their own employees.
In addition to labor contracts, the employee handbook, which explains the rules of the company and the degree of severity of infringements, is also critical documentation and employees should always be asked to sign it to prove that they have indeed received it.
